Enugu-Ngwo and its Union executives have accused a certain Maxwell Orah of impersonation. The community has denied ever retaining the services of the man who purports to be a lawyer representing the community before the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
Reacting to a Vanguard publication, the community and its representatives reacted to claims that a certain Maxwell Orah is the legal counsel to the community and under their retainership.
Speaking to Lodega media, the President General of the community, Nze John Enwu stated, “Maxwell Orah is a strange name to me as the PG of Enugu-Ngwo. I saw a write-up in Vanguard where the so-called Barrister Maxwell Orah claimed to be the counsel of Enugu-Ngwo. That is false, it is the highest impersonation of the century.
” I saw his name first in a petition at EFCC wherein he was the person petitioning against the executives of the community so how then can he claim to be the counsel of Enugu-Ngwo community…those people he wrote petition against just because some few people who aren’t happy with the development of the community met him to work for them.
“I have been the PG for almost three years and I don’t know this Maxwell Orah in person. We know our lawyers, we know who we consult when we have legal issues.”
The community has resolved to report the matter before the Enugu State Chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association and seek legal redress.
