A political wave of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, might have swept through Enugu State in what seems to be a sudden political realignment as hundreds of youths took to major streets within Enugu suburbs and metropolis chanting the Kingsley Moghalu mantra; “Oge Eru Go”.
The political upstart, Kingsley Moghalu has begun gaining political grounds and momentum immediately after the presidential debate where he tellingly scored above other presidential aspirants, including, Oby Ezekwesili of the “Bring Back Our Girls” fame.
A rally put together by the Coordinators of the Youth Alliance for the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Enugu State by Mr. Godwin Orjiama and Mr. Peter Nwobodo saw a gathering of youths across the length and breadth of Enugu coming out in a match of solidarity in support of its presidential aspirant, Kingsley Moghalu.
The youth matched across major streets in Enugu chanting, ” It is Time” a major slogan of YPP, with placards and T-shirts bearing pictures of the YPP Presidential aspirant, Kingsley Moghalu.
In a sudden political twist, it appears most of the young followership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, faithfuls constitute majority of the fans of the Youth Progressives Party, YPP in an unprecedented switch of political alliance in Enugu state.
