It appears Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha will leave a legacy as a statue-erecting Governor than that of a ruler who changed the landscape of Imo state for the better.
The well-spoken Governor who is locked in a political melee with the All Progressives Congress, APC, and his own Deputy Governor and the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, has been largely criticized for his lack of performance in the state as well as being lebelled with accusations of imposing his son-in-law on the State.
After a windy downpour in Owerri yesterday, the Imo state capital, most part of the city has been blown apart with buildings collapsed and other structures blown off. Roads with poor drainage have been floaded as residents are forcef to remain indoors for the entire day.
For a Governor renowned for erecting statue of political figures all over the city, failing to implement simple drainage to major roads and infrastructure in the state capital is a sad closure of his political end in Imo State.
