The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB have begun the distribution and circulation of banners and posters mandating everyone to sit at home come May 30th as a celebration of Biafra day and remembrance of fallen heroes.

The group which has been seeking to secede from Nigeria has run into confrontation with Nigerian authorities and its leader, Nnamdi Kalu’s whereabouts unknown since the Nigeria army engaged the group in a show of violence at his residence.

The last time IPOB requested for a sit-at-home mandate, it was widely a success with obeisance in not just South East Nigeria but beyond. The success drew the ire and contempt of Northern youths who demanded Igbos leave the North.

IPOB is a secessionist group in Eastern Nigeria conversing for the actualising of Biafra as a sovereign country.
