Professor Agu Gab Agu Challenges Chimaroke Again.
The People’s Democratic Party Senatorial Aspirant in the last party primaries for Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Professor Agu Gab Agu has filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Enugu faulting the emergence of the former governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani as the winner of the primary election recently conducted for the Enugu East Senatorial Zone.
In a stunning revelation in suit number, FHC/EN/CS/141/ 2018, professor Agu Gab Agu, a professor of law, had gone to declare that the results announced after the primary was false, accusing the party handlers of result tampering. Professor Agu Gab stated that other contestants at the primaries got higher votes than was credited to them. According to the suit, Chinedu Nneji garnered a total of 88 votes, while Nkwor Ngene had 74 votes, with Gilbert Nnaji mustering 69 votes and Lawrence Ezeh having a total of 25 votes.
Professor Agu gab stated that his 601 votes initially announced by the PDP was later given to the first defendant, Chimaroke Nnamani.
The Law professor has dragged both the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the second and third defendants in the suit.
He prays the Federal High Court for an injunction restraining the 3rd defendant from regarding or continuing to regard the 1st defendant as the PDP candidate in the Senatorial primary election for Enugu East Senatorial Zone.
In suit number, FHC/EN/CS/141/ 2018 at the Federal High Court, professor Agu Gab Agu has gone on to state that he had won the primaries with 601 votes in the election why Chimaroke had only garnered 108 votes.
