John Enwu, the President-General of Enugu-Ngwo town has set out for Abuja early today, June 27 to present himself to Force Headquarters Abuja over what the community in one accord has dismissed as fabricated accusations made by Ken Onoh.
We had reported about the botched invitation by a seven man police team who arrived the town in plain clothes and in an unmarked car to effect the arrest of the PG over accusations of Criminal trespass and threat to life, allegations which many has waved away as distractive and trumped up.
Ken Onoh had allegedly petitioned the police claiming threat to his life after the community has stopped him from selling off and gifting communal land in as his personal property.
A team of police had come to effect an arrest in response but was stopped by the community and instead taken to the Igwe’s palace.
The team of Police had left imploring the PG to honour the invitation slated for 28 of June (tomorrow).
In a show of staunch solidarity, the entire community of Enugu-Ngwo sent a delegation of its executives to accompany the President-General to Force Headquarters.
The delegation comprises:
