It appears the Federal Government may not be paying the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) its April and May salaries in strict compliance to the Federal Government’s rule of No Work No Pay policy.

In a letter dated 5th June 2018 from the Federal Ministry Of Health, addressed to all CMDs/MDs and Registrars/CEOs of Federal Tertiary Health Institutions, the Government requested for a register of attendance of those workers who were punctual at their duty post during the duration of the strike.

The Government went on to mandate the relevant authorities to forward the names and attendance list on or before June 8th 2018 of those who did not participate in the strike to enable it process their salaries.

JOHESU is yet to respond as the time of filling this report.
