The Lamuel Orjih-led electoral commission has released its Guidelines and timetable for the elections of Enugu-Ngwo town union executives coming up this October.
The commission also announced the availability of forms of all respective elective offices to be picked up by prospective candidates.
Accordingly, collection of forms commenced on the 3rd of August and will end on 31th August. While submission of forms by all prospective aspirants is expected to end before 29th September, 2019. The commission also stipulated that campaign by aspirants begins 23rd September to end 24hrs before Election day. There will also be a debate for aspirants gunning for the office of town union president general on the 12 October culminating the peak of the electoral activities before election proper on the 19 of October, 2019.
The popular John Enwu-led adminstration is expected to handover to a new government on the 26 of October 2019.
