Israeli Government has just endorsed a bill seeking to ban thr video recording of soldiers for tje purpose of shaming them. It remains unclesr how the motive of someone who records a video of a soldier will be determined.
It follows the release of a number of videos detailing the fatal shooting of Palestinians, ones which the Government considers harmful to the army’s image.
The bill refers to the intent of the person recording the video of a soldier’s action being to injure their spirits or harm national security.
However some human rights group have denounced the move as a disgrace to democracy and an attempt by the Israeli government to protect the army’s from its human rights abuses in tjr occupied territories in Palestine
