Maxine Waters, a Democrat Senator of California has received various threats, even from US President, Donald Trump for calling on the American people to confront government offical anywhere they found them.
According to Complex, it all started after Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant because of her role as the mouthpiece for the Donald Trump administration. The discourse on that issue has been going on for some time now, but Waters was encouraged by the incident and called on protesters to confront members of the administration wherever they go.
Trump reacted first in his colourful trademark expletives branding Waters an “exerptionalle low IQ person” who has called for harm on his suporoters before issuing a threat of his own: ” Be careful what you wish for Max”.
Not long after the President’s tweet, his supporters took the momentum and upped the tempo of threats by sending death threats to Waters’ office.
Well the Senator picked her response well and it was an epic response, cold and calculating devoid of any diplomatic drapery or political nicety.
At an immigration rally in California, Maxine had this to say to those threatening her:
“And I know there are those who are talking about censoring me, talking about kicking me out of congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me. All I have to say is this: if you shoot me, you’d better shoot straight. There’s nothing like a wounded animal.”
