Nigerian Police Under The Instruction Of President Buhari Has Blocked Senate President Bukola Saraki From Leaving His House This Morning, Possible House Arrest Of SENATOR Saraki Is Underway
Video:In less than 24 hours after the Nigeria police force headquarters had written to the senate President, bukoBu Saraki to appear before its intellgiinte unit to clearify areas of his statement over the Offa Bank robbery insident where scores of people lost their lives, the police have stormed the residence of the Senate President in what seems to be a move to effect house arrest.
The Senate President is due to appear at forever headquarters this morning by 8am local time but the police are already at his residence blocking of access.
Senator leader, Bukola Saraki’s residence has been besieged by the Nigeria police, even though the Senate boss is expected to appear before the Intelligence Unit to answer “the grey areas” in his earlier statement.
The senate President has a history of cooperating the police invitation and investigations.
It should be recalled that the Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari had held a series of meetings with the senate President apparently in a bid to persuade the Senate leader not to defect from the ruling party after a series of grievances by some top members of the APC.
Most political commentators believe the government is employing intimidation and blackmail after negotiations to get the senate leader to remain in the party did not yield any positive result.
